The ligand-binding domain (LBD/202-461) of the thyroid hormone receptor alpha 1 (TRb1) was expressed in the E coli system and purified by the combination of Ni-affinity column and other conventional chromatographic methods. The resulted protein contains 272 amino acids with a 6His tag at the N-terminus. It migrates in SDS-PAGE with an apparent molecular mass of 34kDa.
