The recombinant GST-CTD (the Carboxy Terminal Domain of RNA Polymerase II) was expressed in E coli and purified by the combination of glutathione Sepharose affinity column and other conventional chromatographic methods. The resulted protein contains 627 amino acids with a GST tag at the N-terminus. It migrates in SDS-PAGE with an apparent molecular mass of 80kDa.
