The influenza A virus M1 protein (M1) was expressed in the E coli system and purified by the combination of Ni-affinity column and other conventional chromatographic methods. The resulted protein contains 258 amino acids with a 6His tag at the N-terminus. It migrates in SDS-PAGE with an apparent molecular mass of 28kDa.
