Recombinant human p53 produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain with a 6His tag at the N-terminus. It contains 412 (19+393) amino acids, and having a predicted molecular mass of approximately 45.8kD, but migrates in SDSPAGE with an apparent molecular mass of 55kD.
